TigerFlight has developed a seven coin youth challenge program designed to help the student and their family to adopt seven valuable character traits and become pilots in command of their own lives. The character traits are: to be respectful, honest, courageous, honorable, moral, faithful, and responsible.
On the second Saturday of each month (weather permitting, pilot and aircraft availability), TigerFlight pilots will give free flights for kids ages 11 to 18 at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. During the orientation flights, pilots talk to children about the airplanes and explain some of the sciences of flight.
A member of TigerFlight can visit your classroom and inspire your students to become Pilots in Command of their own lives. The pilot in command (PIC) of an aircraft is the person aboard the aircraft who is ultimately responsible for its operation and safety during all flight operations.
