TigerFlight Foundation, based at Richard B. Russell Airport in Rome, Ga., is a nonprofit foundation leading youth to the dream of flight and providing an opportunity for adults to serve through aviation activities. TigerFlight in the classroom
A member of TigerFlight can visit your classroom and inspire your students to become Pilots in Command of their own lives. The pilot in command (PIC) of an aircraft is the person aboard the aircraft who is ultimately responsible for its operation and safety during all flight operations. We use this idea as a metaphor for believing in oneself and reaching for your dreams.

Free flights for kids
On the second Saturday of each month, weather permitting, TigerFlight pilots will give free flights to children ages 11 to 18 at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. During the free orientation flights, TigerFlight pilots talk to the children about the airplanes and explain some of the sciences of flight.
